David is Research Fellow in the Education and Social Research Institute at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he coordinates the development of the Biosocial Research Lab. David has a background as a sculpture and installation artist, and has taught visual art practice, history, and theory in secondary schools and in higher education. His recent research and artistic projects have focused on creating multi-sensory and immersive responses to climate change in collaboration with schools, universities, and community arts organisations. David is currently exploring creative applications of environmental and biosensing technologies for social and artistic collaborations between young people, researchers, artists, and designers.
